Graduates of ASU’s online BSE in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in electric power and energy systems are prepared for professional careers in industries dealing with the generation, transmission and utilization of electric power. Generation includes conventional power generation (fossil fuel and nuclear) and alternative energy systems, including solar, wind and fuel cells.
Students in this online concentration will complete foundation courses in math, science and engineering. Students further specialize in this area by taking the pathway course in electric power and completing 9 of the 15 technical elective credit hours with power and energy systems courses. In addition, the senior design capstone project should be in the area of electric power and energy systems.
